Germay Place was the second of four gated neighborhoods to open along the northern loop of Chenal Valley Drive, developed by Deltic Timber Corp., which divided a 32.6-acre tract into 50 lots that hit the market in early 2003. A greenbelt of woods wraps around Germay and separates it from Deauville Place to the east and portions of Chenal Country Club's Bear Den Mountain course to the south and west, with the neighborhood offering direct vistas of the Bear Den course's 5th, 6th, and 7th fairways.
