Cherry Hills Village is one of the few U.S. places where an entire incorporated municipality, not a subdivision within a larger city, can fairly be described as having grown up around a single private golf club. Formal incorporation in 1945 followed more than a decade of the Cherry Hills Improvement Association (formed around 1938) working to protect the area's character as Cherry Hills Country Club survived the Depression and grew its membership. The result today is a low-density, large-lot, open-street town of well under 10 square miles, directly south of Denver proper.
Golf Access
Does buying a home here include club membership?
The town itself has no gate and no HOA-style membership requirement; it is a normal municipality. Cherry Hills Country Club, at its center, remains invitation-only and unconnected administratively to town residency.
Living in Cherry Hills Village
Large-lot, low-density single-family estate homes define the town's housing stock; there is no golf-community amenity package bundled into living here beyond the prestige and character the club's presence lends the area.
Location & Surrounding Area
Directly south of downtown Denver, bordered by the University Boulevard corridor, giving quick access to both downtown Denver and the Denver Tech Center.
