Golf access here is a purchasable membership, not an automatic benefit of buying in a nearby village -- confirmed the club does not require residency to join ("you need not be a resident to join"). Heritage Golf Group, a multi-club operating company, acquired the club from the master developer (Schroeder-Manatee Ranch) in March 2024 and has since renovated the courses and added a fourth course (Royal Lakes, a Rick Robbins repositioning of the former Legacy Golf Club); membership is corporately operated rather than member-owned equity, consistent with a non-equity access model, though the club's own site does not use that exact term. The club's four courses sit inside/adjacent to Lakewood Ranch's gated Country Club and Country Club East villages (guarded gatehouses at Legacy Blvd. and Balmoral Woods Blvd.), which is the basis for the gated=yes correction from the prior unknown value.
