Black Diamond Ranch

Black Diamond Ranch is a private, gated luxury golf community in Lecanto (Citrus County) built around a converted limestone quarry. Its three Tom Fazio-designed courses -- the nationally ranked Quarry Course, the Ranch Course, and the 9-hole Highlands Course -- total 45 holes. The club is private; non-members generally must be hosted by a member to play, and a formerly available public stay-and-play program was discontinued after 2024 in favor of member-only cottages. The surrounding residential community is served by the Black Diamond Homeowners/Property Owners Association.

What to Independently Verify

Verify current initiation fee and dues directly with the club -- the $10,001-$25,000 initiation / ~$10,001-$15,000 dues figures found come from a third-party membership directory (Golf Life Navigators), not an official published price sheet. Confirm whether home purchase in Black Diamond Ranch carries any club membership obligation or priority -- this was not confirmed either way. HOA fee (~$213/month per a real-estate neighborhood guide) should be verified with the Black Diamond HOA/POA directly.
