Cress Creek is a long-established Naperville neighborhood of more than 1,200 single-family and townhome residences across two subdivisions, developed beginning in 1962 by Harold Moser's Macom Corporation specifically as, by the club's own history, the Chicago area's first residential golf-course community. The Cress Creek Country Club sat at the center of the development and was owned by Moser's corporation until members bought it out in 1988. Today the neighborhood is governed by its own homeowners association, separate from the country club.
