Knickerbocker Country Club
Founded December 1914 in Tenafly by Malcolm MacKay and associates. Donald Ross personally supervised construction on site (unusual for his commissions), with subsequent input from Herbert Strong. Member-owned private club; hosted the 1979 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship and the first New Jersey State Open Championship. Course restored 2007-2008 by Ron Forse.
