Connect With a Local Real Estate Specialist

The Atlantic Golf Club opened in 1992 on a former Bridgehampton potato field known as "Breeze Hill," the first new golf club built on the East End in nearly three decades. Real-estate developer Lowell Schulman assembled the 204-acre site and hired Rees Jones to design the course; roughly 35 acres were set aside as wetlands. Notably, the club became known early on for welcoming members -- including Stephen Schwarzman and Jonathan Tisch -- who had been excluded from more restrictive older-guard clubs, giving it a somewhat different social history than Shinnecock or Maidstone even as it remains fully private and invitation-only today.

Golf & Course

Rees Jones's design uses the rolling, naturally linksy terrain of the former farmland; the course opened to strong reviews and quickly established itself among the East End's top modern private layouts.

Membership & Access

Does buying a home here include club membership?

No — homeownership does not automatically include membership. See details below.

Membership is private and invitation-only, with no published fee schedule; homeownership in Bridgehampton does not create any relationship with the club.

Location & Surrounding Area

Located in Bridgehampton, within the broader East End golf corridor alongside The Bridge, Sebonack, and Maidstone.
