Prestonwood Country Club opened on Memorial Day 1988, founded by real-estate developer Hillman C. Duncan as the centerpiece amenity for Cary's Preston community. Tom Jackson (a former Robert Trent Jones Sr. associate) designed the golf, which expanded over time to 54 holes across the Meadows, Highlands, and Fairways courses — the only Triangle club offering 54 holes of championship golf. The club was sold to private investors in 1991, who subsequently expanded the surrounding community with additional homes and roads.
Lifestyle & Amenities
Amenities include 15 tennis courts, a full-service tennis shop, an expansive fitness center, an aquatics facility with three pools and a three-story water slide, kids' programming, and two dining venues, serving roughly 1,900 member families.
