Thinking About Living in Linville Golf Club?
Get connected with a local real-estate specialist who understands Linville Golf Club and the surrounding High Country golf market.
Linville Golf Club is among North Carolina's most historically significant courses: golf has been played on the site since 1891, and Donald Ross redesigned and expanded it to 18 holes in 1924-1926. It operates today in tandem with the historic Eseeola Lodge, with play restricted to members, sponsored guests, and lodge guests.
Golf & Course
Ross visited Linville in 1924 and, after a brief site visit, began construction of the current 18-hole championship routing later that year; it reopened in 1926. The course regularly appears on 'best courses you can play' lists nationally, with the caveat that access requires staying at the Eseeola Lodge or being a club member/sponsored guest.
Membership & Access
Does buying a home here include club membership?
Play is restricted to club members and their sponsored guests, and to guests of the Eseeola Lodge -- not general public-pay access. The course operates seasonally, reported as mid-May through mid-October.
