Grande Dunes Members Club is the private golf anchor of the Grande Dunes master-planned community in Myrtle Beach, set on a bluff above the Intracoastal Waterway. Built in 2005 (Craig Schreiner design, with input from World Golf Hall of Famer Nick Price), the club has been operated since 2022 by Heritage Golf Group, a multi-club operating company, and is consistently described in regional golf press as the only genuinely exclusive private golf club in the Myrtle Beach core.

Golf & Course

The 18-hole course plays to par 71 at roughly 7,002 yards (course rating 73.8, slope 136), with TifSport Bermuda fairways, L93 bentgrass greens, modest elevation change, and 34 acres of lakes on a bluff overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. Outside/packager play was eliminated starting in 2014 under then-owner McConnell Golf specifically to restore the club's private character, and Heritage Golf Group has kept that private-only posture since its 2022 purchase (aside from occasional Monday charity outings).

Membership & Access

Does buying a home here include club membership?

No — homeownership does not automatically include membership. See details below.

Access is via paid non-equity private membership, not through home purchase. The club's own membership-categories page lists tiered membership options that this session could not fetch directly (WebFetch blocked in this environment); confirm current categories, initiation fee, and dues directly with the club.

Living in Grande Dunes Members Club

The club sits inside Grande Dunes, a roughly 2,200-2,700-acre luxury master-planned community along the Intracoastal Waterway with its own marina, tennis facility, multiple residential villages, a separate public golf course (Grande Dunes Resort Course), and a separate private beach club (Grande Dunes Ocean Club) with near-automatic homeowner access. Golf club membership at the Members Club, unlike the Ocean Club, is not bundled with home purchase.

Lifestyle & Amenities

DiningPractice facility

Grande Dunes as a whole markets a resort-caliber lifestyle bundle (marina, tennis, biking/walking trails, multiple dining venues) built around, but not exclusively defined by, the private golf club.

Location & Surrounding Area

Located in Myrtle Beach on a bluff overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, within the larger Grande Dunes development between Highway 17 Bypass and the waterway.

Costs & Fees

Figures below are labeled Current only when the source itself frames them as presently accurate. Everything else is labeled Historical — a source checked today does not make an old fee a current one.

Golf membership initiation

Historical — as of 2018-10

$7,500

Reported non-refundable initiation fee circa October 2018 (Club + Resort Business trade press). Likely changed since Heritage Golf Group's 2022 acquisition; this session could not obtain a current, officially published 2026 figure -- confirm directly with the club before relying on this number.

Annual dues

Historical — as of 2018-10

$5,160

Derived from a reported ~$430/month (plus tax) figure circa October 2018, x12. Not reconfirmed as a current 2026 figure -- the club's own membership-categories page was found but not independently fetched this session; confirm directly.
