Onion Creek Club
225-acre gated country-club community in South Austin founded in 1974 by three-time Masters champion Jimmy Demaret -- the only course he designed. Hosted the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf from 1978-1989, credited as the launching event for what became the PGA Tour Champions (Senior PGA Tour). Crenshaw & Coore added a third nine in the mid-1990s for the current 27-hole layout.

What to Independently Verify
The club's national significance is historical (1978-1989 Legends of Golf/birth of the Senior Tour) rather than a current Tour stop -- do not describe it as an active professional-tour host today. Reported initiation fees are notably lower than most Austin-area private clubs; confirm current pricing and any homeowner obligations directly with the club and the Onion Creek community association.
