Connect With a Local Real Estate Specialist

Memorial Park Golf Course traces to a rudimentary 9-hole layout built for soldiers at Camp Logan in 1912, redesigned into an 18-hole course by John Bredemus in 1935. It hosted the Houston Open 14 times between 1947 and 1963 before the tournament moved elsewhere for decades. In 2019 the Astros Golf Foundation funded a full Tom Doak-led renovation (with input from Brooks Koepka), and the PGA Tour's Houston Open returned to Memorial Park starting in 2020 -- now played as the Texas Children's Houston Open and continuing on the Tour's current calendar.

Golf & Course

The current Doak redesign plays to a par-70, roughly 7,432-yard championship layout for tournament setup, while remaining an everyday municipal course the rest of the year -- Houston golfers play more than 60,000 rounds a year here, with green fees capped at $38 for locals and $10 for juniors on weekdays.

Membership & Access

Does buying a home here include club membership?
